Mountain Asset Management is a subsidiary of Great-West Lifeco, an international financial service holding company with interests in life insurance, health insurance, retirement and investment services, asset management and reinsurance businesses. The company manages a proprietary, high quality, fixed income portfolio. As a member of a small group, analyst responsibilities are broad with the opportunity to learn about and participate in the overall management of the portfolio. Analysts play an important role in investment portfolio monitoring, sourcing of new investments, trade execution and related reporting activities. Responsibility initially focused on select credits with the opportunity to expand across the broader portfolio. What you will do Monitor performance and credit quality of current portfolio investments, perform research and analysis on new investment opportunities and develop expertise in assigned industries/sectors Demonstrate ability to manage the collection and analysis of relevant financial data and effectively track/document analysis in a fiduciary capacity Use portfolio monitoring guidelines and models to generate reports, including annual credit reviews and ad hoc reports, as necessary Contribute to the process of making buy/sell/hold recommendations, developing an increasing understanding of pricing landscape, valuation and portfolio strategies Develop understanding of trading process and execute transactions Establish and maintain effective relationships with trading partners and external analysts Other duties as assigned What you will bring 5 years of relevant financial analysis experience and a developed understanding of financial statement analysis, preferably as it relates to fixed income investments Above average written and oral communication skills, including ability to present detailed investment analysis effectively Ability to perform responsibilities with limited direction and supervision, adhering to guidelines, established cycles and company deadlines Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related subject Chartered Financial Analyst designation and master’s degree preferred Advanced proficiency in the use of MS Office, with specific emphasis on Excel and Word This position requires that you work in our Denver- DTC offices on a set hybrid schedule. The salary range below describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
