Certified Peer Specialist
Duties:
- Provide support and assistance to individuals in a substance abuse rehabilitation setting
- Foster a supportive and empowering environment for individuals in their recovery journey
- Conduct one-on-one peer support sessions to promote self-advocacy and personal growth
- Facilitate group discussions and activities to promote peer connections and community integration
- Collaborate with treatment teams to develop individualized recovery plans
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive change and goal attainment
Requirements:
- Must be a Certified Peer Specialist or have completed a recognized peer specialist training program
- Experience with mental health challenges and personal recovery journey preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
