Hope Renewed Counseling is looking to launch a Christian Counseling Center on the Eastern Plains of Colorado in the spring of 2022.
JOB OVERVIEW: The Director of the Counseling Center is responsible for leadership in the administration, planning, implementation and evaluation of counseling services. These services are provided to promote peoples personal development, psychological and spiritual well-being and include individual and group counseling, outreach programming, training, consultation, crisis intervention and assessment. This position involves supervision of professional and support staff, budget administration, and formulation of policies and procedures for the Counseling Center.
THE DIRECTOR OF THE COUNSELING CENTER:
- Must live a life reflective of Christ and align with biblical principals. Must endorse Mountain View Fellowship’s mission, values, and statement of faith.
- Will lead and manage the Counseling Center’s staff and operations.
- Reports directly to the Counseling Center Board.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: A Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or a mental health discipline is preferred; a Bachelors Degree is the minimum.
- Biblical counseling training
- Experience: Two years clinical experience preferred
- Licensure: Must be professionally licensed or certified in the mental health field in Colorado.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides interaction and communication with future departments of the wellness center and church.
- Ensures financial responsibility for the counseling center.
- Promotes the personal development, psychological and spiritual well-being of staff and clients by providing counseling on an individual, couple, or group basis.
- Provides information and support by planning in-service training experiences for Counseling Center staff.
- Promotes communication within the Center by conducting regular staff meetings.
- Provides monitoring of clinical records to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements for clinical records.
- Ensures office effectiveness by handling office correspondence and interviews.
- Communicates the function and mission of the Counseling Center by meeting with staff, clients and the greater community.
- Provides for continuity of care by recruiting, selecting, training, and supervising Counseling Center personnel.
- Provides clinical supervision for non-credentialed staff operating under the supervisor’s license.
- Actively participates in and contributes to staff planning, and evaluation of services and staff performance.
- Compiles statistics for annual reports and other reporting requirements.
- Facilitates a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds.
- Remains competent and current through self-directed professional reading, developing professional contacts with colleagues, attending professional development seminars, and attending training and/ or courses as required by state licensing and regulatory boards.
- Contributes to the overall success of the Counseling Center by performing all other duties and responsibilities as needed.
- The Director of the Counseling Center will perform other tasks as directed by the Counseling Center Board of Directors.
