Essential Functions
- Welcome guests with a warm and friendly attitude that sets the tone for their dining experience.
- Efficiently manage wait times and waiting lists, ensuring accurate and timely seating arrangements.
- Take charge of reservations to ensure smooth operations and maximum guest satisfaction.
- Personally escort customers to their assigned dining or bar areas, providing a personalized touch.
- Present menus with enthusiasm and announce your dedicated waiter or waitress, adding a personal touch to the service.
- Bid farewell to customers upon their departure, leaving a lasting positive impression.
- Collaborate and coordinate with our skilled wait staff to determine available seating options.
- Maintain a clean reception area that reflects our commitment to excellence.
- Provide extra attention and cater to the needs of guests requiring special assistance, such as children or the elderly.
- Efficiently handle incoming calls and address customers' queries with a helpful and friendly attitude.
- Assist the wait staff as needed to ensure smooth service and a positive dining experience for all guests.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Previous work experience as a Host/Hostess, Waiter/Waitress, or in a similar customer service role.
- Deep understanding of restaurant etiquette, ensuring each guest feels valued and appreciated.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Experience in managing reservations to ensure efficient seating and minimize wait times.
- Demonstrable customer-service skills, going above and beyond to exceed guest expectations.
- Excellent communication skills, both in-person and over the phone, to provide clear and friendly assistance.
- Strong organizational skills, enabling you to smoothly monitor the entire dining and bar area.
- Availability to work Wednesday - Sunday nights, allowing you to enjoy the best of Steamboat Springs during the day.
- Good physical condition, as the role requires walking and standing for the duration of your shift.
