Job Description
Position reports to the Corporate Benefits Supervisor.
This is an exempt position . Principle areas of responsibilities shall include but is not limited to:
Retirement Plans – Primary point of contact for employees needing assistance with the Mountaire Corporation Retirement Plan. Responsible for all d aily administration of the retirement plan, including timely approval of distribution requests. Monitors the loan program through tracking new loans, loans paid in full, and payroll and loan refunds. Assists with weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual retirement plan compliance items such as mailouts, audit prep, and monthly reconciliation items. Partners with the field Benefits Supervisors on military tracking and employee contact information. Coordinates communications to employees including newly eligible notifications, semi-annual match and profit-sharing communications, and special projects as assigned. Conducts 401(k) Education meetings as requested.
Facilitates internal reporting for the plan and maintains up-to-date and accurate tracking for all compliance related activities. Audits reports received from the Recordkeeper. Reviews and interprets plan documents to ensure accurate plan execution. Partner with Recordkeeper as necessary to resolve data conflicts. Evaluates processes for efficiency and updates written procedures as needed.
Benefits Programs – Administration of the Life Claim application process and communications with Beneficiaries.
Provide back up support to the Benefits Coordinator position as needed.
Data Archiving & Retention – Archiving and retention of retirement plan documents.
Qualifications :
This position requires the ability to work independently, manage multiple competing priorities, and communicate effectively across all audiences. Confidentiality in all aspects of Human Resources and company information required. Must have a high level of attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
The position requires the ability to travel up to 4 weeks annually.
