MoveAmerica is seeking a Special Security Officer to serve on a team maintaining and conducting the security functions of the MPP Strategic Response Cell (SRC).
The Special Security Officer (SSO) will assist in implementing a comprehensive set of security processes and procedures covering all aspects of industrial security including Personnel Security (PERSEC), Physical Security (PHYSEC), Information Assurance (IA), Information Security (INFOSEC), and Operation Security (OPSEC).
The candidate will work cross-functionally to control access to SRC facilities and services and ensure compliance across staff and clients.
Responsibilities :
- Ensure control of access to SCI and SCI facilities (SCIFs); certifying and receiving SCI visitor clearances / accesses.
- Conduct SCI security briefings, indoctrinations, debriefings, training on classified material / SSO-related material and topics.
- Obtain signed nondisclosure agreements; and provides guidance and assistance for processing SCI position and eligibility requests for assigned personnel.
- Process paperwork and manages Access Requests Employee in- and out-processing.
- Conduct destruction of classified material and provide accountability of all documents and data transfers.
- Assist in managing DOD, DSS, and local office policies and programs.
- Maintain office equipment and supply inventory in secure spaces.
- Assist in validating Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) Fix Facility Checklist.
- Assist in Security inspections and Building Risk Assessments.
- Develop, participate in, and / or provide training and awareness for SRC staff and clients.
- Support an effective security awareness, training, and education program.
- Experience creating and conducting initial security briefings, debriefings, indoctrinations, pre / post foreign travel briefings and refresher briefings, as appropriate.
Required Qualifications :
- TS / SCI clearance.
- BA / BS or equivalent experience.
- Two years of professional experience.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Thorough working knowledge of the NISPOM, other relevant DoD security guidance as well as the Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) standards.
- Thorough understanding of security databases and SCI Access procedures, e-Quip, JPAS, NISS, DSS, and Scattered Castles use and management.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently, customer service orientated.
- Understanding of physical security requirements to include collateral closed areas. Along with working knowledge of SF-86, SF-312, DD-254, SF700, SF702 and other required forms.
Preferred Qualifications :
- FSO training certificate.
- Industrial Security Professional (ISP) Certification or Certified Protection Professional (CPP).
- Experience developing and implementing OPSEC plans.
- Knowledge of Access Control and Intrusion Detection Systems.
- Experience conducting Security incident inquiries.
- Resourceful in solving problem and capitalizing on opportunities.
- Professional Certifications / Affiliations.
