The Human Resources Director role is a strategic and tactical partner to the Magnetics team by leading core HR functions at the site in alignment with corporate values, strategies, and policies. This position will be heavily involved with building our team, our factory, our systems, and our culture as the Magnetics team works to define the future of American manufacturing. Areas of focus include general HR operations, recruiting, benefits, compensation, talent management, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. The scope of employees to be supported includes the Magnetics leadership team, frontline managers and supervisors, highly specialized engineers, maintenance and equipment technicians, frontline manufacturing operators, and other exempt and non-exempt functions. Essential Duties:- Drive strategic HR plans and deliverables of attracting, retaining, developing, and leading a Magnetics team by partnering with business leadership on the attributes that define success for the organization.
- Lead the HR function for the Magnetics team and be the primary point of contact by providing solutions and guidance for all HR related matters.
- Drive the cultural development for the Magnetics organization in alignment with the overall company mission, vision, and values.
- Support ongoing development of the Magnetics organization structure with based on operational need and in alignment with corporate and other entity structures.
- Maintain and enforce compliance of company policies and procedures, and with local and federal laws, rules, and regulations.
- Ensure any investigations or employee relations concerns are handled and completed in a thorough, compliant, and timely manner.
- Lead performance management efforts, such as our periodic reviews, and talent management efforts, such as individual development plans and succession planning.
- Partner with recruiting functions to attract and effectively onboard employees that align with the duties required and cultural fit to accomplish our mission.
- Partner with internal functions, such as Legal, EHS, Procurement, Training, and others, to effectively setup and maintain HR-related initiatives and requirements.
- Ensure compensation and benefits activities are in alignment with corporate philosophies and policies.
- Appropriately handle any applicable personnel leaves or accommodations.
- Lead employee engagement and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives.
- Propose and lead continuous improvement initiatives that improve procedures, the organization, and overall culture.
- Partner with external contacts, such as education institutions and non-profit organizations, for recruiting and community relations opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree within HR, business administration, or a relevant field.
- At least 7 years of HR experience.
- At least 3 years of experience leading and developing teams of direct reports.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment with exempt and non-exempt employees.
Desired Qualities:- HR certification a plus.
- Demonstrated progression and experience in HR concentrations.
- Demonstrated project management experience.
- Fluency in Spanish a plus.
