WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Maintenance Manager will direct all maintenance activities to ensure that maximum operational potential is realized for the entire plant operation. This includes managing the upkeep of all manufacturing assets, managing maintenance budget and resources and assisting in the design and installation of new systems. Other responsibilities include all functions in the areas of departmental budgets, computerized maintenance management systems, preventive/predictive and corrective maintenance programs.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managing, maintaining, and establishing maintenance procedures for production lines in a food manufacturing environment to ensure production meets or performs better than budget
- Maintains manufacturing assets and facility, parts inventory, monitoring purchase orders, invoice approvals, and manages the department budget
- Drives the Maintenance and Reliability initiative focused on Preventive & Predictive Maintenance, not reactive
- Lead and/or participate in projects involving equipment installations, modifications, repairs and renovations of the facility and equipment
- Coordinate work with outside inspections, providing project management, ensuring safety of personnel, and performing other duties as required
- Manages maintenance personnel by setting direction and priorities
- Provides training and continuous development on all maintenance personnel
WHAT YOU NEED:
Minimum:
- (BA/BS) in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Electrical or applicable technical knowledge is required
- 7 years' experience in a Manufacturing Environment in a Maintenance capacity
- 5 years' experience in a supervisory or managerial role
- In-depth knowledge of food processing equipment maintenance and technology
- Experience in the installation, diagnosing and repairing mechanical equipment through troubleshooting required
- Knowledge of food safety, regulatory requirements for food safety
- Must have a successful record and experience in production equipment and systems maintenance management
- General understanding of financial analysis, budget reports and relevant business drivers
- Excellent trouble shooting and problems solving skills in mechanical, electrical and PLC operating systems
- Working knowledge of Preventative Maintenance Programs and Systems
- Ability to manage a continuous operation (24 hrs- 5 days per week)
Preferred:
- (BA/BS) in Engineering
- 10 years' experience in a Manufacturing Environment in a Maintenance capacity
- 10 years' experience in a supervisory or managerial role
