Java Swing Developer - Systematic Trading UI The Equities Trading Technology Team is seeking a Team Lead, Front End Developer to maintain and enhance the UI for our trading systems. This individual will own the existing Java Swing code base, while moving towards architecting and developing in newer user interface technologies. If you are an engineer with a passion for writing elegant and efficient code, who is also keen to keep up with cutting edge technologies for quantitative finance - this role will be of high interest to you. You should possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment both collaboratively and individually while managing multiple projects simultaneously. The successful individual will have a strong sense of urgency, emotional intelligence and prioritize a high caliber end-user experience. Qualifications: 3 years of experience developing with Java Swing in a financial services environment, on trading systems and/or trader workstations. 3 years of experience working in an investment bank or hedge fund 2 years of working experience with current UI web technologies including: HTML, JavaScript, CSS, JQuery Beneficial/Ideal Technology Experience: EXT-JS, AngularJS, AJAX, JSON. Experience with design patterns such as MVC, MV, MVP. RESTful web services Must have strong communication skills Knowledge of equities and futures is important Must have 4 year Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar
