About This Role
Every position at High Life Farms from seed to sale, is contributing to our mission to serve our fellow citizens of Michigan with the highest quality, safest cannabis product through our highly individualized and education-oriented provisioning centers. The Marijuana Production Team Member is responsible for the production of marijuana infused gummies. The Marijuana Production Team Member will work with the Team to meet production demands, maintain compliance with the kitchen schedule, and ensure efficient and safe operation of equipment.
Responsibilities
Outlined below is what we see you doing at this point in time. We are a fast-growing company looking for people that are excited to grow along with us.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Filing, packing, labeling, sealing, and other duties associated with the preparation of cannabis products for distribution.
- Prepare all edibles in a sanitary and timely manner.
- May be required to train new Team Members.
- Reports any safety concerns to the Safety Coordinator.
- Responsible for medicating products properly.
- Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen.
- Ensure all labeling is properly done to adhere to compliance requirements of the company and the State of Michigan
- Follow all GMP and Q/A processes in the facility.
- Strictly follow department SOP’s, batch records, production logs, and associated forms/documents.
- Works in a fast-paced environment and meet Key Performance Indicators
- (KPI’s) standards set by the Packaging Manager
- Keeps an account of all inventories needs and ensure all raw ingredients are in the facility for the production schedule.
- Assist in the implementation of Edible Kitchen systems and SOPs.
- Maintain relevant training as new products are introduced.
- Ensures all paperwork has been completed daily and turned into Production Manager.
- Packaging duties as needed.
The Experience You Bring and the Skills we Need:
- Basic understanding and knowledge of how to properly use and maintain all equipment in the kitchen.
- Training experience preferred.
- Inventory experience preferred.
- Problem solving skills.
- This is a dynamic team, and as such daily tasks may vary, resulting in a fast paced and lively work environment.
Physical Requirements
- Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- Ability to work with a team and have a sense of urgency.
- Ability to stand on feet for long hours.
- The position may not stop for a regular lunch at 5 hours due to the cooking schedule.
- Ability to accurately follow recipes and measurements.
- Ability to be trained on various activities, machines, and systems.
- Ability to do monotonous activities without making errors.
- Detailed-oriented mindset with a focus on efficiency, quality, and sanitation.
- Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a greenhouse environment (tolerance of heat & humidity)
