Job Summary:
The Business Analyst will act as the intermediary between the customer and development team throughout a project’s life cycle. During the planning phase of a software development project, a requirements analyst will gather the desired capabilities of the software.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the systems, procedures, and applications modules for evaluation, uncovering areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
- Utilize JAMA to assist project team with finding requirements.
- Responsible for organization of all requirements created by project team.
- Create detailed technical requirements for simple and complex enhancements to existing and new systems ensuring that solutions meet business needs and requirements
- Educate and influence stakeholders to determine acceptable solutions
- Interview internal and external stakeholders to create and understand requirements
- Act as a subject matter expert for HealthTrio by mPulse MPS when meeting with external and internal stakeholders
- Research and resolve operation questions or production support issues
- Assist with training and documentation
- Assist with writing QA test cases for application development and perform QA testing
- Creating and maintaining user stories
- Attend weekly meetings to share ideas and discuss findings to determine the applicability of changes to our modules.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years of experience in Business analyst or related field
- 2 years of experience with JAMA
- Review and analyze documentation, use-cases/stories, business rules, and process flows to determine what is applicable to our business and writing requirements
- Waterfall and Agile methodologies
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization
- Health insurance/Enrollment/Billing/Agent Commissions is preferred
- Experience working with CMS is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to create detailed documentation and provide meaningful reports
- Knowledge of project management and software development life cycle and the ability to hit project milestones
- Exhibits initiative and drive to complete tasks in a timely manner
- Takes ownership of assigned responsibilities
- Familiar with SaaS operational environment
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of proven experience requirements gathering business analysis or related field
Education: College degree preferred in communication, business, administration, arts, or IT-related field (i.e., MIS, Computer Science, etc.).

Supervision: Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work with general instructions on new assignments. Expected to be a self-starter requiring minimal supervision.

Work Environment: Occasional off-hour/evening/weekend and/or overtime hours may be required. The essential functions of this position may be performed remotely, or in a climate-controlled office environment.
