Job Description:
Title: CNC Programmer
Location: Middleton, MA
Duration: FullTime
Your role will be to convert customer CAD files and designs to precision parts by creating machine-based programs for manufacturing equipment and automation. You will interface daily with our customer-support team, production control, and manufacturing teams in the design to part workflow for precision sheet metal products, secondary machining processes, and value-added assembly. Requirements and Qualifications of this position include:
- This role is an Engineering role, reporting to the Production Manager.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints – both internal and from customers – and translate them to machine programs for Amada and Mitsubishi Punch, Laser, and Forming equipment.
- Familiarity or experience with part design CAD-based programs; fluent with SolidWorks.
- Experience with FabriWIN, AP100US, 3i Bend, 3i Punch, and MC DiamondSoft to create programs for equipment and automation. Experience with our ERP system, Epicor, would be a plus.
- Knowledge of metals and alloys used to make products. Familiarity with metal processing technologies including forming, welding, machining, plating, and coating processes.
- Create Bill of Materials (BOM’s) for parts.
- Create Manufacturing Routers for the parts.
- Two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Solid computer skills, communication skills, mathematics and general tolerancing skills are required.
