What are the responsibilities and job description for the Copywriter position at MRM?
MRM is looking for a conceptual Copywriter to join the team. This person will work closely with the creative team and an Art Director to create original ideas that drive businesses and brands. As a Copywriter you will own the story that is being told, whether it lives online or offline, as part of a campaign, an innovation or within a presentation. Craft is key, as this person will need to tell the story in a voice that fits the brand, the medium and most importantly, the idea.
About the Job
- Develop and produce creative concepts through execution on assigned brands
- Present ideas to senior creatives and approved work to client representatives
- Develop content for print, digital, social, mobile, TV and more
- Consult with account group, media, and strategic planning staff to gather information about the products to create strategically sound and on brand content
- Represent the interest of the agency at shoots maintaining quality control
- Participate in and contribute to the new business pitches
- Stay up to date on the latest trends and talent in the industry
- Actively participate in team status meetings
- Keep abreast of competitive work in the category and for the target audience of assigned brands
- Learn the basics regarding legal, medical, and regulatory pharma guidelines
- Any tasks as assigned with an open heart and a can-do attitude
About You
- At least 1 years as an Associate Copywriter in an agency setting
- DTC, HCP or OTC experience a plus
- Natural storytelling skills, excellent presentation, and public speaking skills
- Experience developing digital and traditional concepts
- A portfolio of work showing examples of your own brand concepts and campaigns, as well as executions of concepts that you assisted with
- Produced work as well as spec work is a plus.
- Ability to perform basic tasks (like edit copy) in Adobe Creative Suite computer software
