Service Manager - REM Tsugami

Responsibilities:
- Primary liaison with Tsugami to provide service updates, feedback, and quality suggestions to ultimately improve upstream efforts of our manufacturer.
- Manage, initiate, control, and direct activities of the eight-person service team to ensure customer satisfaction regarding safety, service quality, and response time.
- Workforce management activities: time management, reviewing employee performance, providing coaching, development of training plans, goal setting, annual reviews, and daily mentoring/feedback as needed.
- Responding to customer and/ or field technician inputs, product requests, helping with resolving application/machine issues, striving for continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Proven track record of successful client interface, project management, and team leadership.
- Deep knowledge and experience of machine tool spindles; design and repair.
- Proven ability to shift and adapt in a fast-paced, technical environment.
- Proven experience making decisions, problem-solving efficiently and quickly.
- Strong business acumen, use of MS Office tools; Excel, PowerPoint, & word. Also, not required but preferred, to use Salesforce.
- Experience capturing data/information, analyzing data/metrics, making recommendations.
- Willingness to travel as needed, mostly domestic, between 25-30%.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience with Service Management/Engineering in the machine tool industry.
- Product expert on machine tool spindles and spindle repair and machine design.
- Prior experience leading 10 to 15 service team members.
- Experience with Salesforce to capture information and utilize metric performance (preferred but not required).
