The Facility Manager works closely with the Director of Operations to ensure the success of the facility. This position maintains open communication with the employees, provides strong leadership for the sports complex, is responsible for the general operation of the facility, and must maintain a positive experience for customers. In addition, this position ensures that all maintenance, safety, and security procedures are in place and followed on a daily basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Oversee the organizing, and growth, of all in-house sports leagues for both children and adults
· Ensures maintenance of all aspects of the sports complex
· Actively pursues sales leads to sell open court time.
· Ability to perform duties within all departments as required by overall business needs.
· Helps with monitoring the budget and provides corrective action to ensure that budget goals are attained. Evaluates internal cost control procedures.
· Assists with the implementation of long-range and annual plans.
· Monitors safety conditions and employees’ conformance with safety procedures. Implements and updates emergency plans and procedures and ensures that effective training for these programs is conducted in all departments.
· Resolves sports complex, customer, and team issues as necessary.
· Completes and distributes facility and corporate financial reports.
· Develops and supervises new programming for the facility.
· Responsible for the coordination of tournaments, field trips, birthday parties, youth camps, and public activities.
· Conducts daily facility inspections to ensure that cleanliness, safety, and facility standards are consistently attained. Assure that the facility’s preventative maintenance program is in place.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS AND ABILITIES/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Degree in Sports Management, or general Business Degree.
· Generally 4 years of experience in supervisory positions overseeing a staff of at least 10 employees.
· Computer literate.
· Must display proper problem solving and decision-making skills.
· Must possess the ability to prioritize work and schedules.
· Must possess the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
· Must be willing to report to work on short notice during out-of-the-ordinary and/or emergency situations during scheduled time off.
