What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mailroom Supervisor position at MTBC?
Based in Somerset, NJ, the Mailroom Supervisor is Responsible for overseeing all Mailroom functions, including the handling of all incoming and outgoing mail, mail and package distribution and tracking.
Responsibilities include:
- Participate in development of departmental goals and action plans to support the needs of a growing company
- Identify and promote cost-effective solutions for mail service; Identify and promote efficiencies within the mail service process
- Sorting, batching and scanning, and filing mail received from clients, insurance, and patients
- Preparing/sending outgoing mail, certified mail pieces
- Verify that all outgoing mail has been properly prepared and metered, and is shipped daily
- Provide mailing assistance for internal departments as needed, including folding, inserting, and sorting
- Setup mailing machines for bill runs, maintain operational log
- Operate Laserfiche and Pitney Bowes mail machine. Perform minor maintenance and adjustments. No experience needed. Training will be provided.
- Prepare, deliver, and pickup mail daily at Post Office, when needed
- Process EOB’s with bills for outgoing mail (Fold and insert)
- Act as point of escalation for Mailroom team
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Requires frequent bending, reaching, repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting and sitting with some lifting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout a typical work shift

- 2-3 years of related experience, including supervisory experience
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Enjoys motivating others to achieve production goals

- Ability to ensure that any private healthcare information (PHI) is kept confidential
- Organized work habits
- Ability to perform repetitive work
