What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatric LPN position at MTBC?
LPN
We are a busy Pediatric practice looking for an LPN to join our healthcare team. This is a fast-paced and family friendly pediatric practice. We are looking for an energetic individual who is a Licensed Practical Nurse that loves kids and loves to smile. This is for a full-time position. Hours will vary Monday thru Friday and may include 1 Saturday every 3 weeks.
Responsibilities include:
- Customer service
- Room patients
- Evaluation of child including taking vitals & medical history.
- Administering immunizations
- Schedule appointments
- Answer phones
- Performing various lab duties: throat cultures, urinalysis, catheterizations, nasal swabs, etc.
- Familiar with nebulizer and suctioning equipment
- Stocking rooms
- Assisting physician when necessary
- Cross training with additional duties as assigned
- Triage nursing
Requirements are:
- Active Illinois LPN license
- Competent & comfortable giving immunizations and other injections to infants and children daily
- Experience preferred
- Current CPR certification
- Pediatric office experience helpful
- Outgoing energetic personality with a LOVE for children
- Team player
- Medical terminology
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate, multi-task and time management
- Possess exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
- Must be able to work well under pressure while maintaining quality care and efficient patient flow
- Communication and problem solving skills necessary
- Basic computer skills
- Requires extensive standing, bending and lifting
