What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Process Specialist II position at MTSDV - Motorsports?
Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Business Process Specialist II join our Marine team in Kennesaw, GA. The Business Process Specialist II will be responsible for meeting with key stakeholders to identify process and organizational re-design opportunities that would have the most impact in business performance for the Marine Business Unit. You would be responsible for developing and implementing baseline metrics, optimizing current organization model and processes, measuring impact of process improvements, and maintaining process documents.
What you’ll be doing:
- Coordinate and lead key projects for business performance improvement across all levels of the Marine Business Unit
- Applies a lean methodology (define, measure, analyze, improve, control) and lean tools of continuous improvement efforts to achieve financial and customer benefits.
- Develops processes, benchmarks best practices, and tracking systems and procedures to ensure implementation of best practices.
- Motivates and directs team members to build cooperative project teams to conduct research and analysis to quantify business opportunities and issues; Develops formal recommendations for presentation to management
- Collaborate with cross function teams in identification of process improvement opportunities and execution of projects according to a defined methodology
- Actively work with stakeholders to generate solutions to business issues and then plans/implements those solutions
- Collaborate on special projects and continuous improvement activities with internal divisions, Marine Business Unit subsidiaries, and external business partners
- Perform ad hoc reporting duties as necessary
What you will need to be successful:
- BA/BS degree in Business, Operations, Engineering or a related field is required
- 3-5 years of relevant experience required
- 1-3 years of experience facilitating, leading projects, or leading a team required
- Proficiency with MS Office including advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Continuous Improvement competencies including: Six Sigma methodology, 5S, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Kaizen, and lean transformation
- Lean Six Sigma background required (Green belt or higher)
- Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate and communicate at all levels of the organization and with external customers, through verbal and written formats
- Must be able to travel with minimal notice Demonstrated ability to work independently to resolve complex issues and projects while keeping stakeholders appropriately informed
- Direct communications with Executive teams
- Flexibility to routinely re-prioritize tasks
- This is an individual contributor role that will work independently or with team members to identify and implement key strategic business performance improvement projects to ensure deadlines and commitments are met while removing any roadblocks that develop.
