Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Instructional Designer join our Yamaha Golf Car group in Kennesaw, GA. The Instructional Designer will be specialized in Instructional Design and proficient in current design models and practices to bolster a data-driven learning model. The Instructional Designer will work collaboratively with key stakeholders and business units to assess needs and achieve organizational goals. Responsible for content development and facilitation of systems, publications and communications for use in areas of sales, service, technical training, warranty, parts and customer information & also facilitating content and training for instructor led, online, internal and external groups. This position also supports management as needed in development and support of key business development initiatives
What you’ll be doing:
- Identify and apply the most optimum instructional design models (ADDI, Kirkpatrick…), principles, and patterns to create engaging and effective learning modules.
- Responsible for the development and creation of ILT, E-Learning, Micro-Learning and Blended curriculums to augment data-driven learning strategies using multiple delivery methods.
- Design and apply adaptive learning strategies to produce an engaging, relevant and personalized learning experience that aligns with specific results
- Develop pre- and post-assessments to measure efficacy of learning content.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to capture appropriate technical and product information.
- Track, measure, and analyze results of content while leveraging feedback and data to improve course material and design. Conduct peer reviews and mentoring of trainers to adjust learning strategies as needed.
- Apply Information Mapping tools to assess information, determine impacts and identify skills gaps.
- Design facilitator, self-learning, direct and/or alternate student learning experiences.
- Lead facilitator, self-learning, direct and/or alternate content delivery transitions with the training instructors.
- Support Division manager and team in development of key initiatives, and support of training, key service projects and systems, and working in collaborative teams.
What you need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Instructional Design.
- Minimum 5-year Instructional Design experience.
- Must have working knowledge of LMS systems.
- Must have working knowledge of Adobe
- Must have working knowledge E-Learning authoring software.
- Strong Needs Analysis skill set
- Ability to translate technical information into user-friendly material.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
