- Prepare all food according to standardized recipes, nutrition requirements, and food safety guidelines
- Work in a variety of food production areas, including dining rooms, public areas and other nourishment areas while following food safety standards, infection control and PPE procedures and guidelines
- Handle food products and food waste in both patient and retail environments
- Maintain and operate food equipment in a safe manner
- Keep equipment and area clean, sanitized, restocked and in good working condition
Requires a minimum of one year of culinary experience.
Must be able to read and write English.
High School Degree or equivalent preferred.
Prefer obtainment of current University of Missouri Food Handler’s Certificate within one month of employment.
Physical Demands

This position is very active and may require ambulating, remaining in a stationary position and positioning self to reach and/or move objects above the shoulders and below the knees. This role may also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts as well as holiday and work during inclement weather will be required.
