SALARY RANGE $75,275 - $109,554

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist manager with interviewing and recommending the hiring of qualified candidates. Ensure orientation of new staff. Evaluate and document staff competency on a regular basis by direct observation, peer review, standardized orientation, and employee input. Coach staff as directed by the manager.
Conduct and manage fiscal operations of the unit, including accounting, planning budgets, authorizing expenditures, and reviewing/reconciling accounts. Review and analyze financial activities and data to aid planning and cash management. Ensure equipment is maintained and appropriate levels of supplies are stocked.
Plan, assign, and review the work of staff. Demonstrate appropriate methods, procedures, and processes for nursing staff to complete expected work assignments. Frequently review staff’s work in progress to ascertain the level of expectation is met. Complete annual performance evaluations on staff that are informative while setting clear expectations regarding their delivery of care during the next evaluation period.
Plan, develop, facilitate, and evaluate the implementation of interdisciplinary patient care, including nursing and various clinical disciplines. Develop procedures for the compilation of medical information, and prepare and analyze reports to improve patient care outcomes.
Provide patient care as required using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. Provide direct nursing support to the clinic as needed.
Schedule, assign, supervise, guide, and instruct staff in providing high-quality services including documentation and participation in patient case conferences based on educational preparation and clinical competence.
Work with the operational team to improve/maintain patient satisfaction and facilitate continuous quality improvement while adhering to regulatory standards. Manage change in an integrated healthcare delivery system, such as process improvement and technological innovations. Work collaboratively with the unit Medical Director and manager.
Develop, coordinate, and maintain daily staffing schedules to ensure the appropriate level of unit coverage and continuity of care.
Monitor time and attendance in alignment with MU Health Care policies and practices, ensuring accuracy of records and timely submittal/approval for payroll purposes.
May complete unit/department specific duties as outlined in department documents.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days.
One (1) year of nursing experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Two (2) years of nursing experience.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
Supervisory experience.
Clinic setting experience.
Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
