SYSTEM TITLE: VGD Supervisor
POSITION REPORTS TO: VGD Shift Manager

JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the VGD Shift Manager, is responsible for supervising employees assigned to shift, and ensuring effective and efficient VGD operations. Must be able to work any shift and be available to work weekends and holidays.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING FOR POSITION (required / preferred):

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • One (1) year previous gaming experience required.
  • Minimum six (6) months experience in working with Video/Electronic Gaming Devices.

1. Practice, support and promote the Mission and Values of Muckleshoot Bingo.
2. Maintain utmost confidentiality regarding all information, both written and verbal.
3. Comply with the standard operating procedures of the department.
4. Ensures proper training of all staff on Bingo and department policies, procedures, and practices.
5. Ensure that VGD machines are filled with ticket paper to keep machines in constant operation.
6. Service minor machine and printer malfunctions.
7. Sell VGD tickets to customers for use in machines.
8. Assists and supports in claim forms, reports, game changes and promotions.
9. Promote positive guest relations through prompt, courteous, and efficient service.
10. Create, maintain and facilitate a positive work environment
11. Authorize jackpots.
12. May issue VGD comps, when needed with approval from VGD management or higher.
13. Responsible for resolving VGD malfunctions, customer complaints, and VGD player service during assigned shift.
14. Responsible for VGD area, ensure compliance with Tribal Gaming regulations and other Federal gaming agencies, such as NIGC.
15. Assists in maintaining VGD Floor security by reporting any suspicious activity.
16. Perform other duties as assigned.

SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES REQUIRED FOR POSITION:

  • Demonstrate excellent guest service skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with speed, efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Exhibit ability to work independently and perform clerical assignments with occasional instruction or assistance.
  • Exhibit working knowledge of computers and computer applications, including spreadsheets, databases, and word-processing.
  • Exhibit knowledge of business practices, correspondence and typing formats, including correct English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Demonstrate ability to use office machines and equipment, including, but not limited to personal computers and software, copy machine, fax machine, binding machine, laminator, and calculator.
  • Demonstrate ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Exhibit basic arithmetic skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to work with confidential information and correspondence.
  • Utilize portable radio or cell phone to stay in contact for the Department, as needed.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Video/Electronic Gaming devices.
  • Demonstrate the ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests. Ability to troubleshoot a variety of situations.
  • Ability to enforce VGD and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate excellent communications skills, effective at listen to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by employees, co-workers and guests.
  • Maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
  • Resolve issues by using resources effectively.
  • Demonstrate ability to work effectively with a minimum amount of supervision and guidance and initiate and exercise independent judgment as applicable.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for extended period of time, or throughout shift.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift at least 30 lbs. Must be able to stand for 10 hours or more per shift. May regularly need to lift/ move, push or pull up material or boxes necessary to the job functions, with or without assistance. Position requires considerable and consistent walking, running, jogging, and standing on feet to complete assigned shifts and for extended periods of time in extreme weather conditions and temperatures.
  • Specific vision ability includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Visual acuity to discern and examine text, graphics, color and symmetry. Speech to communicate clearly, express ideas and convey information in an understandable manner. Ability to hear for listening comprehension and to understand ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Manual dexterity to operate office or required equipment and examine or update documents, records, data, instructions, logs, and files.
  • Exposure to second hand smoke, moderate to high noise level, bright lights, fluctuating temperatures or weather conditions.
