Job Description:
Understands and can operate within the primary goal of low stress, high safety baths and trims
at all times
Bathing, drying, and grooming dogs as well as any other services provided by the Mud Room Handles dogs safely and calmly. Knows when to ask for and when to provide assistance in order
to ensure that a service is provided safely, well and/or on time
Stays up-to-date on knowledge of Mud Room practices, other relevant Mud Bay practices and
other material that Mud Room Muddies are expected to know
Communicate with customers about their dog’s skin and coat condition through in-person face-to-face chats and written report cards Actively pursues further education on health and nutrition and how it plays a role in skin care for
the animals
Quality control for the Mud Room Technicians work; teaching and monitoring that we are
meeting Mud Bay Standards
Compliance with cleaning standards and all safety protocol, is able to train the team and provide
feedback when needed
Leads, trains and works with team to maintain the cleanliness and safety of the Mud Room Leads, trains and works with team to develop bathing and grooming knowledge and experience Collaborates with Mud Room ASM for equipment and supply ordering Work toward expansion of the Mud Room to other regions, which may include extended travel
to recruit and train Mud Room teams in other locations
See opportunities for process improvement and proactively make changes Communicate often with New Business leaders and other departments as collaboration is
needed
Required Skills:
2 years of proven leadership experience or equivalent in a service-oriented environmentDelegation, coaching and mentoring others through tasks Is highly skilled in dog bathing and grooming with professional experience Understands and is passionate about dog behavior and safe dog handling Believes that the ideal environment for dogs and staff is calm and low stress Can work with each dog as an individual, adapting service to meet the needs of the dog when it
comes to skin and coat health as well as behavior
Has a portfolio of their best work and is proud to share it Understands and believes that good nutrition is key to maintaining skin and coat health Finds their passion in working with owners and their dogs to improve skin and coat health Is patient and understanding with people and pets Has deep knowledge of dog physiology, nutrition, behavior, problems, and solutions Is certified or willing to become certified in animal and people first aid Is willing and able to quickly get up to speed on Mud Room practices, relevant Mud Bay
practices, and other material that Mud Room Muddies are expected to know
Is organized and efficient in their work Takes ownership of personal and team effectiveness and productivity Contributes to others' effectiveness and productivity Is able to work in Thurston County
Pay Starting At: $23.20
Hours Per Week: 40 GFE
