Muller is a full-service Site Work Contractor based in Northern Virginia. Our unique technology and systems-driven approach has led us to become a leading provider of sustainable civil construction services throughout Maryland, Virginia, and DC.
As a successful civil sustainable construction business, Muller Inc is growing, and we are hiring for a full time Business Development Manager that has a strong sales experience in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, have established relationships in the commercial construction industry, a proven track record of securing work, procuring new clients, and developing strategic positioning plans.

Responsibilities:
- Help increase and consistently grow our footprint in Maryland, DC, Virginia and beyond
- Develop relationships with key contacts at General Contractor/Site
- Development/Heavy Highway/Site Infrastructure companies along with Land
- Developers that are active in our market areas
- Educate the industry on the unique combination of services we offer
- Attend industry events throughout our market area and provide feedback and summary of events attended
- Add new industry contacts to our company database for future digital marketing purposes
- Facilitate lunch and learns and other strategies to engage potential clients
- Work with internal marketing manager to create sales and marketing materials as needed
- Visit potential client active job sites and offices to hand out services sheets to hiring managers and educate them on our company
- Hand over requests for proposals from potential clients to estimating department to generate proposals
- Follow-up on bid proposals on a regular basis
- Look for business/industry angles for company to investigate and consider
Required Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of either general contractor/construction related experience or 3 years of sales experience in blue collar industry
- Existing relationships with general contractors in market areas is a plus
- Must have some general knowledge of construction industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Business or Marketing is preferred or at min. 3-5 years of B2B sales within construction industry
