JOB DESCRIPTION:
Directs the day-to-day operations of the miniature golf course complex, food outlet, and bar to assure safety, customer satisfaction, and company profitability. Operates in accordance with the company’s prescribed policies and practices, ensures compliance, and food safety with operating standards of the company, and works to keep controllable expenses within the budget. Employs, appraises, and disciplines employees. The General Manager is accountable for the golf course complex and its operations at all times, whether physically present or not.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
See that the policies, rules, and procedures set forth in all company manuals are correctly followed.
Maintain the “Standards of Excellence.”
Be familiar with all local, state, and federal government regulations which may relate to the operation of the golf course complex and manage adherence. These may include, but are not limited to, Child Labor Laws, Civil Rights Laws, and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Recruit, interview, and select a proper number of quality employees to ensure the golf course complex is adequately staffed to provide, to our guests, at all times, quality service, friendliness, and a clean and safe facility.
See that all employment documents (applications, I-9s, W-4s, Visas, Work Permits, etc.) are obtained, processed, and filed for each employee.
See that all employees are properly trained, have been taught the company procedures, policies, and rules, and has read the employee handbook.
See that all cash handling procedures are performed correctly.
Keep an adequate supply of balls, pencils, clubs, scorecards, etc. on hand.
Keep timely and accurate accounting and budget records.
Be familiar with all job descriptions and see that each is followed.
Actively participate in the actual operations of the golf course, including working all positions, at times.
Be sure the complex is kept neat, clean, and creates a favorable impression for our guests.
Write and post an employee weekly work schedule and adjust when needed.
Maintain the proper operating hours.
See that all maintenance guidelines are followed.
Accurately prepare the Daily Sales Reports and email, with accompanying documentation, to the corporate office.
Promptly report any problems, or potential problems, to the Director of Operations, who will, as needed, communicate with the owners group.
Ensure that all employees are familiar with all marketing and advertising programs.
Ensure that all discount coupons are handled in the prescribed manner.
Handle accident or emergency situations correctly and properly complete and process the appropriate paperwork.
Insecure Food and Beverage safety and quality.
Make sure all Food and Beverage areas are cleaned, both front of house and back of house.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
Operate the golf course complex according to policies and procedures.
Project a positive image of this company.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Should have some supervisory experience.
ServSafe Certification
2-3 years of Management Experience in Attraction Industry
Must be able to read, write, understand, and adhere to all company standards and guidelines.
Must be able to orally communicate well with the general public.
Should be able to physically perform all of the essential functions of all positions, with reasonable accommodations, if necessary.
