Summary/Objective: As a Fleet and Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of our company's fleet and facilities. Your primary objective will be to ensure the efficient functioning, safety, and maintenance of all physical assets, including buildings, equipment, utilities, and grounds. You will play a critical role in enhancing the overall work environment and supporting the organization's smooth operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Fleet Management
- Strategically assess whether to lease or purchase vehicles to meet operational needs.
- Provide essential support to our branches in BR, NOLA, and ET, ensuring smooth fleet and facilities operations.
- Oversee and manage cutting-edge systems such as Invisitag and Geotab to enhance tracking and performance monitoring.
- Collaborate with outside vendors, to ensure timely and efficient maintenance and repairs.
- Develop strong partnerships with vendors to streamline operations and obtain competitive service rates.
- Source, negotiate, and acquire vehicles that align with quality and cost criteria.
- Oversee regular vehicle maintenance to ensure optimal operational efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with HR to recruit and onboard skilled drivers who are committed to exceptional service.
- Ensure all vehicles are registered, licensed, and compliant with U.S. Department of Transport laws and regulations.
- Maintain meticulous records of vehicle servicing, inspections, and operational expenses.
- Adhere to safety standards and implement strategies for greater fuel efficiency.
- Identify cost-cutting opportunities while maintaining the highest level of service quality.
- Analyze data to increase operational efficiency and make informed business decisions.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of basic vehicle mechanics to identify and address major repairs promptly.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure timely and effective repairs.
- Implement a check-in/check-out system to track equipment usage and prevent discrepancies.
- Organize the rental of outside equipment when necessary to supplement our fleet's capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations for all fleet operations.
- Delegate equipment and truck repairs efficiently, overseeing the work of team members.
Facilities
- Coordinate and oversee repairs and maintenance activities, either through in-house staff or external contractors, to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Conduct periodic inspections to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
- Conduct safety training for employees and enforce adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with various departments to assess space needs and plan for efficient space utilization.
- Maintain accurate records of facility-related activities, including maintenance schedules, safety inspections, and expenditures.
Salary : $45,400 - $57,500
