The Warehouse Supervisor – Night Shift responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Responsibility & Authority:  This position is responsible for the finishing, shipping, receiving, material handling in the warehouse.  The position reports to the Logistics Manager.Safety:  Identify safety risks or concerns within the finishing, shipping, receiving and warehouse departments; actively participate in all required safety training; ensure that safety policies and procedures are followed at all times.   Quality:  Optimize processes to ensure that items shipped meet customer requirements.Production Goals & Objectives:  Monitor and achieve production’s Key Process Indicators (KPI’s) in warehouse.  People:   Lead, supervise, train and develop warehouse team members.  Relate to associates at all levels of the organization.Customer Relationship:  Support a customer-centric culture at the facility, driving the root cause and corrective action process in response to customer complaints.  Actively seek ways to improve finishing and delivery reliability and accuracy.  Inventory Management:  Ensure raw materials and finished goods are rotated properly on a first-in-first-out (FIFO) basis.  Minimize obsolete raw materials and work with the production group to utilize aging materials.  Serve as a leader in performing the annual inventory process to ensure accurate reporting at fiscal year-end.  Implement a cycle count process for all inventoried items.Communication:  Provide daily feedback to the warehouse manager on status of finished goods and raw materials for orders.  Prioritize the finishing and shipping departments to ensure that critical customer delivery dates are met.  Material Handling:  Oversee internal distribution of materials and finished goods.Raw Materials Management:  Inspect and protect incoming raw materials to ensure the quality and consistency of materials being used at press.Values:  Model the Corporate Values and Principles. REQUIREMENTS for ADVANCEMENT:Technical knowledge of the job.Constantly meets or exceed stated goals and standards.Demonstrates support for company polices, philosophies, and programs.Demonstrated success in problem solving and developing solution to quality problems. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESEducation:  Associates Degree in related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.Math Ability:  College-level math, including statistical analysis; working knowledge of budgets and financial statements.Computer Skills:  Literate in Microsoft Office suite or the equivalent; ability to learn business information systems.Language Ability:  Articulate, clear, persuasive and passionate in the spoken and written word.Reasoning Ability:  Rational, logical, and fact-driven decision making; Read and analyze production and productivity documents.Supervisor Abilities:  Lead, engage, manage and develop other employees; Relate to people at all levels of the organization, including diverse cultures.  Provide actionable and timely coaching and feedback direct reports. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Business experience and relevant industry experience, with proven ability to lead/manage in manufacturing and logistics departments.Three to five years of lead or supervisor experience, including management of KPIs, process improvement and people leadership and engagement.Lean Manufacturing experience is preferred.  PHYSICAL AND/OR MENTAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to:Wear hearing, foot, eye and/or other personal protective equipment while in a manufacturing settingFrequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and to write and typeOccasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb / balance, and reach with hands and armsFrequently lift and move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and move up to 35 poundsFrequently required to stand, walk, and sit.Vision abilities include – close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to distinguish color variations, ability to adjust focus, ability to view a computer screen for extended periods.Low to moderate noise environment in office areas, moderate to loud in manufacturing areasWork flexible/varying schedules and hours as neededWork overtime as required by workload and customer mandated deadlines
