What are the responsibilities and job description for the User Experience Designer position at Mural Health?
Mural Health is a fast-growing clinical technology startup that makes clinical trials easier for participants. Our mission is to eliminate any barriers participants or caregivers experience while being part of a clinical trial. Mural Health is looking to expand our team with a User Experience (UX) Designer.
Who are you? You are a results-driven, passionate individual who will work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers and other stakeholders to shape the user-centered solutions that solve complex problems. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and detail-oriented designer to understand user needs, design intuitive interfaces and create delightful experiences that drive engagement and satisfaction.
You will:
- Conduct user research to understand user behavior, needs and paint points
- Translate research insights into user journeys and wireframes
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define product requirements and specifications
- Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for web and mobile applications that align with our brand
- Create interactive prototypes and/or mockups to communicate design ideas effectively and gather feedback to iterate on on design concepts
- Conduct usability testing to continuously improve the user experience
- Maintain design system and guidelines
- Stay up to date with design trends and industry best practices
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field
- Experience working within the clinical trial industry strongly preferred
- Proven experience as a UX Designer or similar role, preferably in a startup environment
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and similar tools
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to thrive in a face-paced, agile environment and adapt to change
- Portfolio showcasing your design skills and problem-solving abilities
- Previous experience in the healthcare industry, with SaaS products, or a fintech is a plus
