TITLE: Training
AssistantGENERAL
STATEMENT OF DUTIES: A non-exempt
position responsible for on-boarding and training all new hires. Assist in
helping to assess educational needs, develop programs, and provide initial and
on-going training for MMC personnel. SUPERVISION
RECEIVED: Reports to Education

FUNCTIONS: ·
Educate and on-board new employee/current employees in the
appropriate use of all system software necessary to enhance job performance. PRIMARY:·
Be responsible for handling volume administrative and transactional
activities related to employee onboarding. ·
Provide on-going training and support to enhance employee
utilization and workflow surrounding software utilization.·
Assist Education Coordinator and Departmental Managers in
identifying and implementing best practice workflows and best practice product
utilization. ·
Assist Education Coordinator with development of training
program for all the staff related to MMC Financial Policy and Business Office
practices.·
Support individual departments with high-end educational
needs (i.e., PACS deployment in radiology, EHR implementation in SurgiCenter) ·
Assist with existing users on proper utilization of new
modules of existing system yearly. ·
Assist and support Education Coordinator with continued EHR
training for new and existing providers. ·
Schedule “classroom sessions” designed to address topics
specific to improve system utilization. ·
Responsible for placing interns and students into the
department. SECONDARY:·
Assist in with all HR duties as needed. EDUCATION
& EXPERIENCE: ·
Associate degree in education
preferred. ·
3 years’ experience with Microsoft
based office products. ·
High School diploma required.·
Technically savvy experience utilizing
HRIS or other onboarding system preferred. ·
Highest level of professional conduct
integrity.·
Excellent interpersonal and communication
skills.·
Strong attention to detail: accuracy
with data entry.·
Ability to prioritize and meet
deadlines in dynamic environment.·
Ability to work with minimal
supervision.·
Strong interest in team
collaboration. ·
3 years’ experience with HIT systems, experience
with Groupcast/Touchworks preferred.·
Educational interest or background.·
Able to work independently or as part
of a team. KNOWLEDGE:
·
Knowledge of adult learning concepts,
methods, media/tools and human resource development.·
Knowledge of health care educational
needs. ·
Knowledge of development and
implementation of educational programs using computer capabilities as
appropriate. SKILLS:
·
Skill in effective clarification of
educational needs and development of appropriate recommendations for program
and instruction. Stays abreast of training trends.·
Skill in identifying patterns and
trends that could benefit from training. ·
Skill in program development through
effective management of content, budget, timetable, facilities,
instructors. Ability to use computer application for department needs.ABILITIES:

Process new hires. ·
Solicit missing documentation from new
employees.·
Update notes accordingly in Onboarding
System ·
Collaborate with HR team in order to
process high volume of new hires·
Administrative tasks as assigned not
limited to: adding users to our Learning Management System, processing background
checks/drug screens and all other required documentation required. ·
Updating survey responses from those in
onboarding. ENVIRONMENTAL
/ WORKING CONDITIONS:Office and classroom settings. Constant
contact with variety of individuals.
Travel to clinic locations will be necessary.PHYSICAL
/ MENTAL DEMANDS:Requires ability to stand for 6-8
hours/day during training sessions. Occasional need to lift/carry up to 50
pounds of equipment. Frequent stress related to handling multiple projects and
dealing with diverse audience needs. The description is intended to provide
