Automatic Door Technician

Murray Womble, Inc., a company established in 1922 serving the commercial building industry is currently seeking an automatic door technician to install/service and/or repair automatic door systems and commercial entry doors to the customer’s satisfaction. Currently, we have an opportunity for an experienced Installation/Service Technician with an electrical and mechanical background to be based in the NW Arkansas area.

Job Responsibilities:

• Use electrical, mechanical and electronic skills to service and install automatic and manual doors.
• Use knowledge and understanding of products, power and hand tools to complete required tasks.
• Travel to the jobsites in company supplied vehicle per instruction of service dispatcher/manager, to perform installation/service/repair and complete the installation/repair of the product to the customer’s satisfaction and complete job/service documentation.
• Ensure that all job/service tickets and time sheets are completed, signed and submitted accurately to ensure all tickets are processed as required.
• Maintain inventory on truck and have knowledge and understanding of all parts, part numbers and part descriptions
• Other duties may be assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Prefer a minimum of 1 year experience in a position that required a mechanical aptitude with low voltage electrical trouble-shooting preferred.
• Experience working with Automatic Doors is preferred.
• AAADM Certification is a Plus!
• Must possess valid driver’s license with good driving record and no DUIs.
• Full-time with availability to work overtime when necessary (to include emergency calls nights and weekends)
• Required language: English.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Experience:

• Microsoft Outlook: 1 year (Required)
• Carpentry: 1 year (Preferred)
• Electrical experience: 1 year (Preferred)
• Automatic Door Service: 1 year (Preferred)

Work Location: On the road
