Job Description Summary
Curator is responsible for project management, programmatic development, and budgetary oversight of the Art Collection and Healing Spaces. Responsible for acquiring and managing funding opportunities while navigating innovative research opportunities and creating best practices and policy across the MUSC Health System (including Regional Hospital & Facility Network). This role helps to create a welcoming space for all and an environment that reduces stress and anxiety, promotes health and healing, and improves patient and employee safety. This position reports to the Leader of Arts in Healing.Entity

Job Description
•Bachelor's degree (BFA or BA) and 8 – 10 years required or a combination of education and experience (Master’s degree and 5 years’ experience)
•Minimum 5 years' experience in Gallery, Art Business, Art Consultancy or equivalent required
•Experience developing exhibitions and using art as a healing tool within a healthcare environment preferred
•Experience developing and conducting research
•Experience implementing policy within a healthcare system
•Knowledge of a variety of artistic mediums and techniques
•Strong understanding of art creation and commission process
•Proficient in graphic design, using Adobe Creative Suite
•Highly organized project manager
•Ability and willingness to travel
•Strong communication skills and ability to build and maintain relationships
•Critical thinking skills, detail oriented, decisive judgment
•Ability to work with minimal supervision and with a team
