What are the responsibilities and job description for the Poly Finisher - 2nd Shift position at MW Industries ?
SUMMARY OF POSITION: Responsible for performing various production processes in a timely and efficient manner. Processes include, but are not limited to, de-burring and finishing product, assembly operations in both the polymer and drill & reamer cells, loading and unloading equipment, as well as CMM operation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- To assist in all areas of production.
- De-burr and finish product as per process requirements.
- Inspect product for damage, contamination, and deformity.
- Follow and document critical dimensions as required.
- Assemble product as per process requirements.
- Be able to meet the visual acuity requirements (shades of color and color blindness).
- Be able to meet the requirements of the vision screening test (eye chart).
OCCASIONAL DUTIES:
- Willingness to work overtime.
- Optional temporary off-shift work as requested.
- Completion of appropriate documentation and inspections of parts.
EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED required. Previous machine operating experience preferred. Previous experience using a CMM preferred.
SKILLS: Ability to use micrometers and calipers. Attention to detail is a must. Good communication skills, excellent eye for detail. Ability to follow directions and learn new processes, written documentation skills such as inspection reports, set up sheets, etc. Basic reading and writing skills including the ability to interpret machine set-up sheets. Ability to bend and stoop while lifting.
