Assistant Manager
Job Description & expectations:
The assistant manager will be responsible for the operation of the store when the owner or the manager is not available. The person in this position will need to know how to do everything in the store to include interfacing with customers, baking, making sandwiches and beverages, and performing opening and closing activities.
Responsibilities include:
· Working with honesty and integrity at all times
· Ensuring a clean and safe environment for employees and customers
· Conducting himself/herself in a professional manner when interacting with customers, other employees, or suppliers
· Setting an example of excellent customer service.
· Creating and maintaining a positive working environment with team members
· Ensuring high quality of product (muffins, sandwiches, beverages)
· Opening and closing the store as needed
· Baking and other back-of-house duties as needed.
· Helping with managing, training, and scheduling of staff
· Being available to work some evening and early morning hours plus weekends
· Being able to work at least 35 hours per week and more during key holiday seasons such as Christmas
· Being able to lift moderate to heavy items
Requirements:
· Fast food/quick service experience
· Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service
· Leadership
· Good communication skills
· Ability and willingness to listen and learn
