Family Job descriptionIn order to deliver a
superior patient experience, we must be ready for the patient when they arrive
for their appointment. The Patient Service Coordinator will execute the daily operational
tasks associated with patient preparation and data entry.The importance of
patient preparation is so that the patient’s benefits and eligibility can be
verified accurately. An accurate verification leaves no surprises for the
patient or the Optician while they are choosing their solutions. Precise
information allows for ease in billing from our insurance team and instills
confidence in our business to take care of the patient properly.The patients that are
at the door are there to be seen by the Optician and/or the Optometrist. The
Optician will have taken the call announcing the patient’s arrival and will
then greet the patient at the door. They will then propose the safety questions
to ensure the patient can be seen in the office at that time.Job Responsibilities:Obtain insurance eligibility and benefitsInput scheduled patients into EEHRTrouble shoot insurance issuesManage patient schedule by scheduling, re-scheduling,
and confirming patient appointmentsServe as back up to the Opticians in answering incoming
calls-which include scheduling/rescheduling appointmentsMaintain and manage the waiting listOn exam days:Call patients that do not show for their appointment to
reschedule their appointmentResponsible to immediately call patients to fill spots
that come available during the exam dayPartner with Manager to passionately optimize results
in a timelyfashionEnthusiastically support all Rx Optical policies and
proceduresMaintain an uncompromising level of business ethics and
integrityPosition Requirements:Strong written and verbal communication skillsService oriented demeanorKeen attention to detailAbility to work flexible schedule that meets business
needs, which will require evenings and Saturday shiftsHave the ability to multi-task and bring tasks through
to completion with minimal supervisionMay involve prolonged periods of stooping, kneeling,
crouching, bending, sitting, standing, and/or crawling as appropriateMay be required to move materials up to 30 pounds, reach,
push, or pull in order to accomplish a job responsibilityAs a Patient Service
Coordinator, you are the ambassador of your office to use your identified skill
set to prepare for each patient visit. It is your honor to ensure that our
