Solution Architect

What does a successful Solution Architect do at Fiserv?

As a thought leader and architecture advisor, you'll bring leadership to our product, business, and technology teams in both internal initiatives and client-facing engagements. You will apply your architecture experience to support key technology initiatives involving payments, banking, and merchant acquiring platforms and solutions. In partnership with business and technology teams, you'll lead the architecture and design efforts throughout sales and implementation lifecycles by supporting client technical discussions; leading design, development, and testing activities; promoting the adoption of corporate IT standards and policies; and raising risks, issues, and concerns to stakeholders.

What You Will Do

• Provide technical architecture design and guidance for both internal and client facing implementations and development initiatives
• Articulate and position the benefits and technical aspects of Fiserv solutions to business and technical audiences
• Lead architectural discussions and design workshops with customers to determine business, technical, and architecture requirements
• Translate business strategies into target architectures and implementation timelines
• Elaborate solution proposals considering functional and technical aspects and implementation estimates
• Review technical solutions to ensure alignment to the architectural vision and adherence to compliance and enterprise IT standards
• Learn and analyze current industry and technology trends that can provide benefits to our business and clients
  
  

What You Will Need To Have

• 10 years of technical hands-on experience in software design and development
• 5 years of solution architecture experience
• 5 years of experience in application architecture, including security, encryption, high availability, application integration, data extraction, and reporting
• 3 years of experience in architecting and designing enterprise solutions, including end-to-end transaction and data flows and cross-application integration
• Experience in banking, payments, and acquiring
• Current Fiserv platform experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience

• Experience with consumer and corporate card payment and acceptance, end-to-end payment authorization processes, and payment networks
