What are the responsibilities and job description for the GPS/PNT Source Analyst position at Mymic?
MYMIC is seeking a Global Positioning System (GPS)/ Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Source Analyst with an extensive background in GPS and/ or PNT to support Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) processes to include analyzing Combatant Commander, Service, or Defense Agency issues and analyzing capability documents such as Initial Capability Documents (ICDs), Capability Development Documents (CDDs), Capability Production Documents (CPDs), Joint Concepts, White Papers, & Concepts of Operations (CONOPS). Further, provides comments and recommendations to action officers for consideration and provide written draft assessments of assigned topics, such as identified capability gaps and on-going/future assessments. Source Analysts will analyze proposals, assess new capabilities and propose recommendations to fill gaps.
Responsibilities:
* Provide analytical and technical expertise to support assessment of JCIDS topics
* Facilitate and prepare Functional Capability Board (FCB) working group recommendations
* Provide technical expertise to the applicable FCB Chairman's Program Recommendations (CPR) and Chairman's Program Assessments (CPA) process
* Provide collaboration and coordination for Joint Staff Action Processing on items related to the task being supported
* Analyze Combatant Command Integrated Priority Lists (IPL) in order to address matters relating to the task the contractor is supporting
* Conduct research activities focused on project requirements and deliverables
* Participate in the conduct of CBAs, assess programming impacts of new capabilities
* Review/analyze related project reports to ensure accuracy/validity
* Analyze information using basic statistical and logical methods
* Report analysis and research results through formal and informal briefings and through formal and informal writing
* Prepare and participate in the delivery of presentations explaining and defending research and analysis results
* Works well within a team
Desired Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
* Knowledge/experience with the GPS enterprise (ground control segment, satellites, user equipment) and/or the Army's Assured-PNT program
* Provide analysis and recommend solutions to GPS policy and governance issues. Analyze PNT, NAVWAR, and Precise Time and Time Interval (PTTI) issues affecting the Department of Defense and its component organizations. Research and analyze emerging GPS User Equipment issues, ensuring compliance with federal and DoD policy, guidance, and standards.
* Track and review emerging national, international, and departmental regulations or proposed agreements and develop Joint Staff and DoD positions. Continuously prepare information products, such as technical analyses, information papers, and senior leader talking points.
* Assist the Joint Staff in its role in executing DoD space policy in support of the Combatant Commanders. Periodically update the Chairman's Master PNT Plan (CJCSI 6130), incorporating input from all Combatant Commanders, Services, and DoD agencies.
Qualifications:
Security Clearance Requirement:
* Must have an active Top Secret clearance (based on SSBI completed within the last five years) with SCI eligibility.
Education and Experience Requirement:
* Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum ten (10) years of task related experience, OR;
* Graduation from a military command and staff college with a minimum ten (10) years of task related experience (5 of which earned as E-6 or O-3 or above), OR;
* Combination of fifteen (15) years of military operational experience (5 of which earned as E-6 or O-3 or above). Operational experience includes planning and executing combined and joint operations at the theater or component level, knowledge of combat arms, all source intelligence analysis, logistics, civil-military operations, and site's area of responsibility or functional area and task related experience.
