This position performs vascular ultrasound on all inpatients and outpatients including other cardiovascular procedures.
(60%)* Performs Tech IV-Vascular core procedures. Event monitor application Electrocardiograms Holter monitor application and scanning Carotid ultrasound Peripheral ultrasound Arterial doppler studies Renal ultrasounds Superior Mesenteric Artery (SMA) ultrasounds Transcranial doppler monitoring (OR/pre-op) TCD with contrast Routine treadmill exams Sestamibi stress and pharmacologic stress testing
(30%)* Performs accurate pre and post-processing of files and reports. Accurately utilizes all computer systems associated with cardiovascular services and the Vascular Lab.
(10%)* Responds to emergency or unsupervised situations effectively.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND SKILLS:
High School Diploma or GED Required.
ULTRA C I - ARDMS-RVT OR CCI-RVS
Registered or registry eligible in Vascular Ultrasound (RVT). Registry eligible with successful completion of registry within 90 days of hire or transfer.
Interpersonal skills needed to communicate successfully with individuals and groups and to communicate ideas and concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
Mandatory tuberculosis (TB) testing must be done annually according to MIOSHA (Michigan Occupational Safety Health Administration) standards.
Mandatory Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training must also be completed annually according to the Exposure Control Plan.
Minimum two (2) years’ experience in vascular ultrasound preferred.
