About the Role:

The Information Security Engineer is responsible for the monitoring, deployment, and support of the security infrastructure and other security solutions at Mynd. This individual will support multiple security related projects and technologies, interfacing with others within the IT organization as well as other internal business units and external customers/partners. The Information Security Engineer must, at a minimum, have basic to intermediate level of knowledge and technical hands-on experience in multiple security operations disciplines to support a variety of functions and the overall solutions for a complex cloud environment.

Responsibilities:  

• Investigate, evaluate and recommend innovative technologies that will enhance the security program or posture of the Mynd environment
• Lead the implementation, configuration, and daily operations of Information Security technologies that are implemented in Mynd’s environment
• Support the ongoing security control processes within Mynd’s supporting networks, infrastructure and endpoints both on premise and in the cloud
• Manage, maintain, and administer security monitoring & alerting systems and processes, ensuring ongoing visibility into the security of our environments
• Liaise and communicate effectively across IT and other key stakeholders including the leadership team regarding security incident events and trends
• Partner with Compliance team to develop and improve internal processes, policies, standards and baselines to manage Mynd’s information security management system
• Perform on call duties including acting as an incident leader for high impact events during and outside of business hours
• Conduct threat and risk assessments based on industry recognized methodologies
• Assist in the development and support of the compliance program

Qualifications:

• BA / BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or other related field
• CISSP Certification
• 3 - 5 years of hands on experience in an Information Security role
• Strong understanding of Zero-Trust, Zero-Touch, and BYO architectural frameworks
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong analytical abilities
• Experience automating processes and operating at scale
• Solid understanding of security concepts, principles and practices
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities and the ability to learn new skills quickly with minimal guidance
• Knowledge of best practices in developing security standards and processes
• Knowledge of network systems and security protocols
• Knowledge of security software programs and implementation
• Experience with Apple and Windows OS architecture, security controls, hardening, testing and monitoring tools preferred
• Experience with anti-virus software, firewalls, vulnerability management, intrusion detection systems and log management/SIEM reporting tools
• Previous SOC, SOX, PCI or other compliance experience required

• Jira/JSM/Confluence
• Azure and AWS Cloud Infrastructure
