Responsibilities/Duties
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Answers dealership’s main line. Responds to basic inquiries or determines caller’s need and transfers the caller to the appropriate person/department.
- Ascertains the nature of customers’ complaints and attempts to resolve the issue to the customers’ satisfaction. Refers complaints to the appropriate department manager if unable to resolve.
- Schedules service appointments based on the need of the customer and the availability of the Service Department.
- Call customers after completion of service to ascertain their level of satisfaction.
- Calls or texts customers to encourage them to complete the emailed survey.
- Coordinates courtesy shuttles so that customers are picked up in a timely manner.
- Reconciles cash drawer daily.
- Performs general clerical duties.
- Cross-trains for other tasks as required.
- Maintains a professional appearance.
- Keeps work area neat and clean.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Required Experience
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 3-6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
