Summary: Dynamic Virtual Assistant Company seeking Sales Manager with a proven record of accomplishment of leading while ensuring top customer satisfaction. The Sales Manager will serve as a service and industry expert to help the sales team close qualified leads, grow the sales pipeline, and ultimately help grow our customer base and drive revenue. The Sales Manager will manage and develop a team of Sales Representatives, as well as be responsible for developing the Sales Department’s processes to optimize efficiency. The Sales Manager will have a deep knowledge of the typical challenges Sales Representatives face daily and provide the team with best practices to overcome those challenges.
Past sales outcomes under candidate’s ownership must include measured increase in overall closings during career, as well as measurable increases in client referrals and repeat business. Candidate must have deep experience in digital and phone sales, as well as skills presenting in-person at trade shows and client meetings.
Description of Key Responsibilities:
- Lead sales team to exceed their respective month, quarter, and annual targets
- Ensure sales team members are accountable to defined performance plans
- Ensure open communication with Sales Team and management to foster high employee engagement and talent development
- Lead weekly meeting reviews with sales team
- Coach team on prospecting, qualification, closing and referral/repeat business wins
- Measure and continually find ways to improve Sales Department process and performance
- Collaborate with marketing, operations, client services and executive management to facilitate new programs, messages, campaigns, and service offerings.
- Partner with other departments as needed to provide value to company’s overall success
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 4 years’ experience leading high-performing outbound sales teams
- Proven record of accomplishment in outbound/cold calling sales: exceeding personal sales goals for more than 2 consecutive years
- 2 years of sales experience selling service and technology solutions
- Enthusiastic leader with the proven ability to inspire and motivate others
- Deep understanding of generating pipeline through prospecting & outbound activity
- 2 years of experience managing and improving team performance
- Consistent record of accomplishment of sales goal overachievement as an individual contributor
- Results oriented, metrics driven record of accomplishment
- Expert proficiency CRM solutions, salesforce.com preferred
