What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Events Assistant position at Myrtle's Bakehouse?

Myrtle's Bakehouse has been growing rapidly over the last year! Were a fun and happy company to work for and we have a need for a Special Event assistant.

This candidate would be responsible for the set up, service and break down of pop-up tent events and weekly farmers markets. You would represent our company in a professional manner to increase our profitability and create an amazing customer experience at these events..

Responsibilities

  • Deliver to events using company vehicle
  • Set up tent, marketing materials, sales tables and cookie display
  • Sell and serve cookies to customers, fielding questions and generally providing a wonderful consumer experience
  • Cash and card handling using mobile POS system
  • Inform customers about new products and services
  • Follow DOT regulations and safety standards while in transit to and from events
  • Speedy breakdown of event equipment
  • Strict observance of all event holder rules and regulations

Skill

  • Valid professional driver’s license
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Good driving record with no traffic violations
  • High school degree
  • Cash handling experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour
