- DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Wash drain weights
- Net weights
- Residual gas analysis
- Internal pressure test on all retort loads (pouches)
- Product characteristic analysis
- 72-hour test analysis on all products as per military specs.
- Batch formulation checks and analysis
- Pulling samples for incubation
- Pulling samples for fat and salt analysis
- Check incoming ingredients periodically
- Visual examination tests on pouches pulled for testing
- EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Must have good eyesight
- Must be able to read and comprehend military specification requirements
- Must have legible handwriting
- Must pass math test
- TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
- GMP’S
- General safety
- Controlling food allergens in the plant
- Pouch integrity
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to climb stairs
- PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE)
- Safety equipment to be used as instructed
- WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Work performed in a plant environment
- Exposed to any number of elements (heat, steam and cold)
