Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director of the Dietary Department, the Chef is expected to perform a variety of duties to include the preparation, cooking, serving, catering, and using Creative, Health conscious techniques, Recipes, Menus and Presentation. The Chef is trained to understand flavors, cooking techniques, create receipts from scratch with a high level of responsibility within the Dietary Dept.
Position Duties (not all inclusive):
- Responsible for culinary leadership and insure the highest quality of food service to all customers.
- Ensures food quality and taste is of the highest standard.
- Complies with sanitation regulations and safety standards.
- Directly responsible for the food preparation for patients, the cafeteria, doctors’ dining room and any special requests.
- Inspects food preparation and serving areas, equipment and storage facilities, observes the appearance and personal habits of staff to detect deviations and violations of current health regulations and orders corrective measures as necessary.
- Exhibits proficiency in culinary techniques.
- Consistently assess customer service and satisfaction to making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcome of excellent service and quality
- Serves as a role model for the department and ensures the highest level of customer service at all times. Completes other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English required.
- Associates from a Technical from Culinary Institute preferred.
- Culinary Certification preferred.
- Three to five years of food service cooking/chef experience preferred.
Salary : $33,900 - $42,900
