What are the responsibilities and job description for the Meter Technician position at Nacwa?
Centennial Water and Sanitation District serves over 95,000 customers in the community of Highlands Ranch, CO and adjoining portions of northern Douglas County. Centennial operates a complete water and wastewater utility including surface-water reservoirs, treatment facilities, transmission, distribution, storage, and wastewater collection system.
Duties include performing a variety of tasks such as, performing installation, repair maintenance, and reading of water meters involved in the operation of the District’s water distribution system. Terminates and reinstates customer’s water service upon request. Interacts with District commercial customers to ensure compliance with required backflow prevention and proper maintenance of grease and sand interceptors. Responds to customers inquiries and concerns, to include emergency call-outs
Desired applicants will have experience with reading and recording data from various types of meter dials. A High school diploma or GED equivalent is required. A Colorado Driver’s License and acceptable motor vehicle record are also required.
Rotating “on call” shifts are required for this position and applicants must be able to respond to emergency calls within approximately thirty (30) minutes of Highlands Ranch.
Pre-employment screening, which includes background check, drug screen and motor vehicle record check will be performed for all candidates who are offered employment.
