Junior Risk Analyst

At this time a Junior Risk Analyst is needed to assist the Risk Management team by validating data, running reports, making recommendations, and providing insight in the evaluation of risk.

Compensation: $19.00 per hour *Exceptional Benefits Package!

Essential Functions:

• Work with the Director of Risk Management in pulling together data and providing initial recommendations for recurring reviews summarizing risk exposure by product, ARC, dealership, etc.
• Prepare documentation by product, ARC, dealership, etc. that supports reserve changes and supply to Sales along with additional documentation as needed.
• Assist with tracking reserve/coverage recommendations and implementations by dealership.
• Work with Sales from beginning to end to ensure compliance with changes.
• Work with Claims to facilitate labor rate changes that are associated with reserve increases; track and monitor the results while seeing it through to implementation.
• Prepare reserve and coverage comparisons between our programs and those of competitors and supply a thorough report of the results. May include independent research or analysis of additional data.
• Evaluate existing and new consumer forms for risk and provide risk mitigation recommendations for inclusion into programs to Director of Risk Management.
• Assist in the audits of claims to validate adjudication is adhering to contract underwriting guidelines.
• Work with Senior Data Analyst to validate accuracy of the data in the reporting cubes; make recommendations for new metrics, techniques, and strategies to improve business understanding.
• Attend and provide insight into recurring business reviews discussing risk management and mitigation.
• Maintain the YDE coverage templates as new programs are launched.
• Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

• Normal office environment.
• Ability to frequently sit for long periods of time.
• Ability to occasionally walk, stand, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel or crouch.
• Ability to spend extended hours in front of a computer screen and use close vision, distant vision, and depth perception.
• Ability to lift at least 20 pounds.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• 3 to 4 years of experience working with a self-service tool, preferably Power BI.
• Ability to multi-task and handle multiple interruptions.

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma and some college preferred
• Two or more years of experience in Accounting or Data Analysis

Preferred Skills:

• Previous experience in risk analytical role.
