Finance Manager
Position Summary:
Manages the organization’s accounting and financial responsibilities. This position will carry a broad base of finance and accounting responsibilities: financial reporting, journal entries, month-end close, account payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Reports directly to CEO/COO of the organization. Position requires hands-on duties for all accounting aspects.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Prepares monthly, quarterly, yearly accounting close. Ensures integrity of the transaction reporting to the general ledger and reconciliation of balance sheets
- Directly handles activities for a broad range of functions including transaction processing: A/P, A/R, payroll, fixed assets, tax, budgeting, financial reporting and general accounting activities
- Reconciles intercompany accounts on a monthly basis
- Manages annual company and 401K audits
- Ensures records are maintained in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS principles
- Preparation of annual tax returns
- Prepares annual budget and tracks actuals vs budget on a monthly basis, updates forecast monthly; develops and inputs 3 year plans
- Supply chain and production: determines product needs based on forecasts from customer, creating and placing purchase orders for product to meet customer demand
- Use CRM system to input budget, actuals, and track products
- Annual review of all benefit plans with HR Administrator
Job Requirements:
- BS degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field. MBA and/or CPA preferred
- 5-7 years of accounting/financial management experience
- Intermediate to Advanced MS Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) with expert proficiency in Excel a must. Previous experience with Quickbooks, Hyperion or Dynamics preferred
- High degree of autonomy, yet team oriented with ability to work cross-functionally
- Self-motivated with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
- Attention to detail
- Solid written and oral communications skills
- HR knowledge/background a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
