Description
This role will be a key member of the team responsible for determining international student eligibility for the NAIA Eligibility Center and InCred. The individual will organize and maintain international resources, conduct research efforts, assist with international partner relationships and communicate with students and NAIA member institutions regarding international student credentials evaluation and eligibility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Review student’ academic records and athletics history to accurately and consistently assess first-time eligibility in the NAIA according to established rules, procedures and NAIA Bylaws.
· Assist in maintaining telephone and e-mail communications with key stakeholders of the evaluation process.
· Scan or record academic and athletic records
· Develop an expertise in international competitive experience.
· Assist with research related to appeals and reviews.
· Conduct quality assurance checks.
· Conduct credential evaluation of and assist in the maintenance of published academic standards for educational systems from over 200 countries.
· Assist with some business development activities.
· Assist in the training and education of incoming team members.
· Provide cross-team support, as needed.
· Contribute to the field of international credential evaluation through activities with TAICEP, NAFSA, AICE, and AACRAO (including presentations, papers, research, articles, travel, etc.)
Requirements
· Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (preferably in international studies, international business, foreign languages or social sciences)
· Ability to handle a variety of tasks, work under deadlines and function effectively in a team environment
· Effective problem-solving skills
· Ability to learn and process large amounts of information, including educational systems
· Effective oral and written communication skills to provide exceptional customer service
· Strong research skills
· Ability to handle student academic records and other sensitive information in confidence.
· Bi-lingual a plus.
