JOB SUMMARY: The Quality Manager directs the activities of Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, Quality Control, and Supplier Quality Team in pursuit of world class customer service as measured by Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. In cooperation with site senior leadership develop Strategy Deployment in support of Nammo Defense Systems breakthrough goals and identify breakthrough activities and resource them appropriately. Develop Zero Defect Culture to ensure smooth business growth. Position reports directly to the Vice President/General Manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Build quality in the design as part of the New Product Development process by partnering with Engineering to implement Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
· Establish Supplier Quality Organization to drive proactive supplier assessment, selection, development and management strategies.
· Develop data and metrics to drive zero defect plans internally and in the supply chain.
· Partner with Supply Chain Director to develop proactive supplier risk management process.
· Develop and implement strategic Quality initiatives and programs promoting sound and effective principles as set forth in company procedures and government standards and directives ensuring the department conforms to these principles.
· Promote a strong culture of quality focused on 100% employee engagement while enhancing the customer experience through the relentless pursuit of achieving zero defects.
· Work closely with the Focused Factory Teams and the functional organizations to ensure all phases of the customer life cycle, from early customer involvement through post-delivery support, meeting the requirements for mission success.
· Responsible for the maintenance of quality records that document the quality status of material/products and provide necessary information and cumulative data for internal and external Customer responses.
· Develop, and verify compliance of all Work Package Descriptions issued for Quality tasks for proposals and ongoing contracts/projects.
· Improve the efficiency of the Quality organization through effective leadership, individual and group training, and process improvement.
· Maintain certification and compliance efforts for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and other required certifications.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
· Able to make decisions quickly that drive Company goals and objectives.
· Ability to drive Containment, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions in a cross-functional team environment, and knowledge and experience with the 8D Methodology.
· Knowledge and experience with preference in a variety of Lean tools such as, Standard Work, Value Stream Mapping, Daily Visual Management, 5S, 5Whys, Fishbone, Fault Tree Analysis, Problem Solving Process, and Visual Project Management.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
· BS Degree (technical degree preferred, i.e. Engineering)
· MS Degree preferred, MBA a plus
PREFFERED EXPERIENCE:
· Five (5) years or more Quality leadership experience.
· 5 years Supplier Quality leadership experience
· 5 years Advanced Product Quality Planning experience
· Several years of meaningful energetic and aerospace manufacturing experience.
· Demonstrated metric-driven, successful performance of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost Management within a manufacturing business.
· Strong knowledge of customer expectations, quality standards/systems, customer relationship management.
· Excellent data analytical and modeling skills required while displaying financial and business acumen.
· Motivated, flexible, and creative leader, able to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced, demanding and changing environment.
· Strong executive presence, communication skills, emotional intelligence, collaboration skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
