Job Description:
IVD Sales Specialist
- Develops and implements global sales strategies with the ultimate goal of growing all IVD services and positioning NAMSA as the Contract Research Organization of choice
- Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of NAMSA IVD services, and sells on the basis of service expertise (technical knowledge)
- Works closely with the IVD Project Managers, Account Managers, Business Development Executives (BDEs) and the Regional Sales Leaders to achieve global sales targets
- Collaborates with subject matter experts on the design and costing of proposals. Will require interaction with Project Managers and IVD Consulting and Clinical experts and leaders within the organization
- Works closely with IVD leadership to identify and implement sales plans for those key accounts in their respective region
- In support of the IVD product marketing manager, ensures that Account Managers and BDEs are properly trained on all IVD offerings and appropriate selling strategies
- Takes an active role in regional in-house and in-person presentations and/or “lunch & learns” related to IVD services
- Provides feedback to Marketing Professionals to ensure NAMSA pricing and marketing strategies are in line with current industry practices
- Attends industry conferences and/or trade shows to build relationships with prospective customers, key opinion leaders, and other influential professionals
- Responsible for maintaining client contact information within CRM software
Senior IVD Sales Specialist
In addition to the items listed above:
- Mentors and supports onboarding for new IVD Sales Specialists and peers in the broader sales organization
- Develops cross-geography and cross-functional tools to support sales growth broadly in the organization
- Demonstrates an understanding of regulations and clinical trial requirements for regions outside of the IVD Specialist’s home region to effectively sell NAMSA’s IVD services globally
Principal IVD Sales Specialist
In addition to the items listed above:
- Propose and implement systems to support internal improvement and NAMSA’s long-term growth
- Provide global strategic direction and guidance to NAMSA
- May take on a supervisory role within the organization
Qualifications and Skills
IVD Sales Specialist
Requires a minimum of:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or sciences from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 2 years of successful sales experience or equivalent hands-on clinical research/regulatory experience
- Previous experience selling to the IVD or medical device industry highly desirable.
- Must possess thorough knowledge of IVD services related to medical device standards and regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Proficiency with SalesForce
- Fluency in English and local language, if different, required
Senior IVD Sales Specialist:
Requires a minimum of:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or sciences from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience or equivalent hands-on clinical research/regulatory experience, consistently at 90% (or above) objective attainment
- Previous experience selling to the IVD or medical device industry highly desirable.
- Must possess thorough knowledge of IVD services related to medical device standards and regulations.
- Demonstrated skill in negotiation and managing challenging client situations with successful outcomes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Proficiency with SalesForce
- Fluency in English and local language, if different, required
Principal IVD Sales Specialist:
Requires a minimum of:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or sciences from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 10 years of successful sales experience or equivalent hands-on clinical research/regulatory experience, consistently at 95% (or above) objective attainment
- Previous experience selling to the IVD or medical device industry required
- Must possess thorough knowledge of IVD services related to medical device standards and regulations.
- Demonstrated skill in negotiation and managing challenging client situations with successful outcomes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Proficiency with SalesForce
- Fluency in English and local language, if different, required
