Job Description
The Resident Assistant is responsible for working with tenants to provide an orderly and safe environment to live in. This includes general house maintenance, clean up, and transportation services as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assists tenants with day to day residence activities and requirements.
- Provides transportation to and from work as well as various stores for basic amenities.
- Enforces house rules and regulations. Ensures policies are being followed by tenants.
- Remains available to residents for daily basic needs and assistance.
- Assists in responding to complaints, reports, requests, and emergencies.
- Submits reports on infractions, violations, and safety issues.
- Informs residents about tenant house updates and schedules.
- Attends and participates in staff meetings and training sessions.
- Ensures cleaning is done in common areas.
- Conducts basic maintenance in and around the property as needed.
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
- Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum one (1) year directly related experience.
- Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under company vehicle insurance policy is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to get along with residents of various cultures and backgrounds.
- Proven organization and logistical skills.
- Ability to respond to and assess urgent situations.
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment requirements including drug screen and background check.
